Show and Tell!!!!
The Coop's employee, Jackie, shows her sister how to make our delightful little christmas trees. Made out of 3 fat quarters. We really are a family based store and love to have special visitors like this! We hope it helps to inspire every family member to start sewing.
During our Southern California Quilt Run we raffled off a quilt featuring the run fabric in order to help out one of our families. Lori and Paige both work at the Coop and their husband/father has been diagnosed with brain cancer. The proceedes of the raffle GREATLY helped them out with all of the expenses that have incurred since his diagnoses. We thank everyone who participated and a special shout out to our winner of the quilt Becky!!
Customer Beverly shows us her civil war vision of Pat McDonald's Twisted Baskets pattern. With just a little imagination she transformed this pattern to have a whole new feel. Good work Beverly!!
During one of Susan Prioleau's classes a student brought down a previous project that she just finished, also taught by Susan. This quilt was done by Renee Simon and took her 18 months to finish. The name of the quilt is Baltimore Elegance and it came out just beautifully!
Each Friday the Quilts of Valor group meets upstairs in the store. This wonderful group of women meet to make quilts for the wounded soldiers fighting in our war. Using donated fabric in red, white and blue they sure bring a smile to the soldiers faces with these wonderful gifts.
